Seahorse Water Color Painting - Cozumel

This water color was painted by Jan Spangler and is the beginning of a series on sea life and the sport of scuba diving. Jan’s intention is to use this series to promote an April, 2009 Monterey Bay Aquarium Exhibition, The Secret Lives of Seahorses. Conservation and the protection of the marine environment is high on Jan’s priority list and it is her good fortune that she gets great joy from painting subjects in her passion.
(The original photo was taken by Javier, a dive master/instructor on Tanya Spangler’s recent scuba diving trip to Cozumel, Mexico.)
